I dig the 8 wheelers Wes has put out these past few years.  Without them I'd be nowhere.  I like the progression of design from the traditional style to the snub nose to the edge concave w/ upturned nose.  I think the progression keeps on going!

For my skating style and abilities I've been doing some thinking and tinkering with very positive test results.

Right now the concepts I'm working on are: weight, maneurvability (mostly turning/carving, kick turning), and board lifts (concave, nose, tail kicks).

I ride mostly on the kick tail, back & front trucks or near the trucks, it's possible we don't need the width on the nose and mid section.

I need or like the lift in the nose for modern tricks (ollies, disasters, spine transfers, etc).
I need or like the concave where the feet are for easier turning & better response.  The in-cut sides could possible even provide a 'hook' for more pressure & leverage???

The kicktail really doesn't need any modification, I just wanted to try a little cut there for tail taps.  BUT, it's possible to create more leverage there somehow as well.

I'm not sure about wheelbase changes.  Obviously a smaller wheelbase would seem to turn tighter or respond quicker... who knows?  I modified it by about 1/2"... and I might drop it a little shorter.  It is definitely stable at all speeds and on all terrain, so I'm not worried about that.

I have a few other ideas that I'd like to try too!!!

First shot at these ideas!  Abomination or progression???  Look at the pics, let's talk!

Sick shots Jay......props to the camera person.

So now you've made a few mods......does it work better? I think only you can tell us that, there that aren't many people here who can do all you do on a 4 wheeler let alone an 8.

tell your photographer to keep themselves out of the photo...
and learn to get the rider(that's YOU) centered.
stop chopping off fingers/hands.
and clean the lens once in a while.

The time has come for the BDS Vonesh V8.

This is an excellent deck, more a skateboard than it's predecessors, a natural step forward. It looks like a really well thought-out form. Wide where it should be for good footing, narrow in the middle where you don't need it (to save weight ??).

How about some specs ?? Or is it too early to totally let the-cat-out-of-the-bag ?? Is it safe to assume that this is one of the 3 new decks in the works (I love spy photos of secret stuff).

How about it Wes ?? Throw us a few details. You guys are totally swinging-for-the-fence here.

Can you tell I'm excited ??

You're such a photo fink, CO! I do similar stuff with striping, signs and tattoos. I didn't notice that stuff in these pics...but I was too in awe of the actual skating. Jeeze, I wish I could ride an 8.
