Here is an article I scanned from English magazine Skateboard. Its the first skatepark I went to, and one of Britains first parks, and was located in Central London on the banks of the river Thames. I hope you can read it OK

| Its sad driving by a highrise that occupies the same land that the Solid Surf used to inhabit. Just makes you shake your head... |

Looks so fun! I love the old parks with snake runs, round lips, lumpy crete, everything! Serioulsy. I'm not saying that all skate parks should go back to being made like that, but I would sure like to roll around on something like that again. |

They are building on the Marina Skatepark site right now.. They put a gym on it before that and I hated to drive by and look at it.. people doing goofy workouts when they could be skating the bowls that were so legendary, a real bummer.. I still kind of get sick when I drive by it.. its like NOTHING should ever replace such great parts of our lives.. |

| Thanks Tony, happy memories, only went there a handful of times but good to see it all again, some good footage in "Rolling Through The Decades" don't know if it's available over in the U.S though. |
