Hello BDS site members. I saw that Rando introduced himself the other day and I figured I should do the same.

My name is Jerry Buchanan Baker. I live In Wilson Mills North Carolina, 20 min east of Raleigh. I am 36 and still a kid as far a hobby's go.

I started skating in 1974 on a Roller Derby sk8board. I quit riding a few years ago because The sport kinda went away from what I liked about it. It seemed all the ramps and pools in my area were replaced by Street skating fun boxes and hand rails.

Real skateboards were replace by these double tailed little twigs. The wheels became the size of grapes and people were obsessed with how high they could ollie. These same people could not do a kick turn on a banked slope. Over night the fun just went away for me..

But now i am back to riding and having a ball. I bought a DogTown BullDog reissue and started riding this sweet a$$ pool/bowl at Project 58 skate park here in Raleigh.
I will have to get my brother to take a few pics of me riding at this place and post them soon.

On monday US. Mail should deliver my first BDS board. I ordered a Quad Plane 10X34 with Indy 169 and Abec 11 No school 60mm 96a wheels. I have since order from this site two sets of Mini Dub the soft series and the naturals 95a. So in the end the BDS board will have BDS wheels.

Well maybe someday I will get the chance to meet some you all at a skatepark.
Peace JBB.

PS.. This IOWASK8ER guy is killing me with all the cool pictures from the past... Man he needs to open up a museum!!

Thanks for the welcome guys... I really have enjoyed the site...
I went and rode my new Quadplane for the first time tonight in a Pool. I really liked it. The board is so easy to ride. The only thing that will keep it from being my Number 1 Stick is that because it is 34 inches long it is kind of tough to maneuver it around in tight/quick transitions. But i will still ride it alot cause the wider stance allows you to pump harder which makes you go so much faster on a big Transition Half-Pipe.
