If he did have all his info... he wouldn't ask to donate pics and info about it so they could add it to their site! Otherwise he wouldn't need it! I think that's why he was here trying to scoop up stuff so he can construct a history of it... just my 2c's~

And Laurie... WOW!!! I'm glad those went to u!!! A PERFECT HOME with it's other siblings!!! GNAR:Y!!!

This guy is being up front about his intentions and is asking for input.

Most of us know what he is asking about, let's help him.

Having had people and companies take images from my website for years is something that you only find out about when you hear about it from a friend, see a t-shirt or product for sale.

Pics of boards have been used from my site on companies sites without my permission, t-shirts have also been made from images on my site.

Recently a friend of mine emailed me an image of a shirt sporting one of my dads photos from the late 70's, I contacted the company involved and found out they made a series of shirts sporting images off my website with no permission or photo credit, that really pissed me off.

I would not be the only site to have this happen to, but permission and some kind of photo credit or acknowledgement would be fine for me.

I would rather see companies that do not know, (not saying this guy doesn't know, he's only asking for images of peoples vintage collections) ask help from those that know.
Cheers,
Tony

Thanks Tone!!  I sent him a bunch of classic photos and never received a response.  Assume he is just out of office!

Joel ... my thoughts exactly.

Maybe Tone will poke Mr Gullwing and get Mr GW to improve his email courtesy!  Bro ... I totally hooked that dude up and not a chirp or a thank you.

Nonetheless my post was basically to Clownbaby that there's really no use in trying to get info from him because he obviously doesn't know so he's coming to us for input... meaning he himself is try to learn~ And yea I agree with what everyone here is saying~

skikatdaddio, yes those are the Gullwings you sold me. Did you buy them off ebay about 7 or 8 years ago? if so these are the only ones of this type I have seen apart from in this advert from the April '77 Skateboarder mag. It is odd but all 3 versions are shown in the same mag. Sims advert shows the earliest version on the front of the Quicksilver complete, the main Gullwing adverts shows the final version with gullwing shape in the hanger, but with standard red bushings and this picture is shown in the Equipment Update feature

NICE STUFF LAURIE!  those are some museum pieces right there,  I love that SIMS ad with the bowlriders and split axles,  I would love to replicate that beauty,  I can't even find that ad anymore,  do you have that picture?

I only have this part scan of the page. Like you I had wanted to create this set up for many years. I even had an NOS set of the experimental wheels and the same deck. I eventually gave up and sold the wheels thinking I would never find the Gullwing truck, about a month later that one showed up on ebay. If anyone else has some of the correct Sims wheels they would be willing to part with please let me know.

Here's some Gullwing info that a friend has lent me to scan.

It came along with the Stroker info from the bin in the pro shop at our local park after it closed back in the early eighties.

Interesting how accurately you can set the turning radius.

Part numbers and prices.........where are the keys to my time machine?
