A great mixture of both skate n surf, happening next weekend, lasts for a week.

Quite a few hangovers from the Bondi Bowlarama who stay around to compete. If anyone is around town, it's worth a look. Surfing conditions are pretty good at the moment, should be a good year.

If any locals are nearby, I checked out the practice session in the probowl today, it was huge! Main event starts Monday and lasts all week.
Check out the event schedule on the link.

Surf was 3-4m swells today for the u16 event!

Went to see the Masters prelims yesterday; they've built a huge bowl right on the beach next to the surf comp. Fanning is here, along with most other Aussie surfers and quite a few from overseas.

Best thing is the Masters - Pat Ngoho was here, pure style when he skated. The oldest guy in the Masters is 57, still getting 3m air out of a 16" bowl. There's a 13 yr old girl from Cali as well who is getting some attention.

Pictures to come.

The bowl right next to the beach. You can watch both comps at once. This guy about to drop in was Aussie John Gray, he was pretty good, lots of air and he's 53.

Nice! is that gonna be a permanent skatepark or one of those temporary bowls they build for contests? Thanks for sharing!

No it's temporary. They build it every year.

The skating and surfing is amazing; it's a great little comp right on our doorstep.

There's some highlight photos here
