Dave ... pristine!!!  I had a Sears knock off that looked like a Banzai!  Those boards could thread a slalom like a needle!!!  I was one of those poor kids that could only watch the rich kids pass me on their decks.  I remember thinking that speed equalled skill.  Man ... I was wrong!  I soon learned skill equalled ability to a ride an empty pool in the dark with flashlights with a foot of water in the deep end!

Thanks.  They really only  cost a little more. I remember buying mine for $30.00 at either KMart or Penney's. I have one made by Huffy that looks very similar is that the one that came from Sears?

I had the purple anodized aluminum model, I remember mentioning in another thread a few years ago how well it worked, truckless, to remove cedar shake shingles.....

WOW!!!  GT wheels?
Set up Looks beautiful...
Is it ride-able with wide banzai trucks
and those wide wheels?
Or was all that fluff just for us collectors to envy!!
Next time Macsdaddy, give us a little story so we
don't torture you with questions, or I don't anyway!...
Like, How ya got it, how long ya had,
why you did  this and that, why its so freaking
minty, do you have others????

Two of my friends on our street had the red Banzai decks. I got to test ride one of them back in the day and I liked the way they rode. These pictures make my heart race for one now!

wow those look great.

i still have my green brushed aluminum one with x-calibers and small power paw wheels, i remember buying it at skateboard city skate shop in san diego back in the day.

after this board i made a couple home made oak boards to ride. don't have any of those they got cut up and used for skid plates through the years.

It's MAYBE rideable, the wheels have these weird bearings somewhere between looseball and precision - and I'm not sure how they'd hold up to 200 pound of rider.

Mine BITD was black, and the board that I was riding while I fell in love with skateboarding.  Glad to have one in the collection, and looking for NOS black . . .

*edit - found it on the bay a few years ago, found the wheels last summer - 6 of them and they look like they were poured yesterday, then found the trucks last fall.
