Hi guys would anyone happen to know if the Beamer style decks are available just blank? I love wes’ art I’m just looking for a some blank beamers.
I feel like the chances are slim but if anyone has any info please reach out!
Peace

Hiya, I think it's unlikely, sounds like a custom job. Construction-wise they're fairly simple, no concave and around 12 degree tail, the main deck is five ply, at 8 mm thick, the beams (also 5 ply, 8 mm thick) would have to be another pressing as a block in the same mould (to get the curve of the tail) and cut to 1" strips around 26" long and glued to the deck. The "Boneite" was black craft paper soaked in wood glue as far as I can tell, so that should be easy to apply. The rivets would be last thing to apply maybe. You can see I've thought about making one myself, though not in the near future... Good luck.

As far as I know, only the original prototypes were blank, but they were painted black and there are very few of them.  There were also a few silk screen test boards where the graphics did not take completely because of the beam.  There are also very few of those.

It would be an abomination to remove Wes' graphics from any of the production beamers unless the graphics were already destroyed from riding in my humble opinion.

Wes Not only did the art work but he designed the board. So you should contact him to see if he would allow any of these to get out.

Don't be fooled by cheap imitations.

On the other hand, it would be no tragedy to take the "grahics" off of this one.

All of these replies are awesome and very helpful, I agree that the graphics ought not ever be removed - with exception of the gonz’s haha. I’m just broke and was entertaining the possibility of getting the shape without paying for the art cause I’m going to ride the hell out of it. But now I’m convinced it’s worth the investment.

You would actually end up spending more on a blank, especially a prototype.  There have been some very reasonably priced NOS Beamers for sale here lately and used one even less expensive.  Well worth the money.

BTW, strike "cheap imitations" in my post and replace with "GROSSLY OVERPRICED imitations."

Can we make even other additions/deletions to this statement like the S.O.B. was ask to test this board during its prototyping and he liked it so much he stole the basic design and then took a dump on each one just before signing them.

It’s funny I’m pretty young and don’t know much about older style boards and was actually introduced to BDS from the comments section of the krooked Beamer promo vid. I thought the design was amazing and started researching bulldogskates and am only now realizing how LAME the whole krooked thing actually is. Luckily, however, I’m now definitely in the market for any Wes Beamer decks if they’re available, I’m keeping my eyes peeled 👀
