That's what I mean, it's hardly been ridden. He's either picked it up recently or someone bought it for him and he rode it twice and put it into storage for 40 years. But it looks too new for that.

Also, Freestyle, 31.5" - mine's 27"

I've been trying to figure out which deck it actually is, I've looked through the old adds in Skateboard! And it appears that there were two sizes of a Kicktail deck 27" & 32". I also found one add which listed. 31" deck but nothing that actually said Freestyle deck.

Oh, it's him again.

I think I made a fairly decent offer on a Comp II and he laughed me off....and then it sat there until he took it down.

Don't beat that seller up too much.  I don't remember if he was ever a member here, but I know quite a few people here who dealt with him a few years back.  Has some of the most minty sweet OG stuff out there.  Has a bit of coin too, so he's not trying to rip people off, but as I recall, meticulous in recordkeeping, so more likely trying to get in the ballpark of what he paid.  It also has "Make Offer".  Sadly, he bought most of his stuff high when the market supported it more.  And for some folks flush with cash and collecting vintage gear, bitching about the price doesn't seem to necessarily come up.  That's what I've heard at least as I'm not in that category.  [frown]

Perhaps the reality of the current market for most 60s/70s gear is hitting him now.

he does have some great stuff indeed mike, maybe he will realise values have dropped like you say and eventually reduce them? the badge looks orig to me tony as it fits the recess properly and if it was one of the plastic ones the surface coating wouldnt have worn through like that, maybe its been stored badly and rubbed against another decks griptape

Yep I concur with punkboy definitely an og benjy badge , the originals are a hard glassy sort of plastic which is black with a gold coating which wears off like that one but he’s very ambitious on the price of that one

That seller has a ton of decent stuff but almost everything is exactly twice what it's worth. Powerflex 3's for $180. He's a nut.

Tony, have you seen this footage?

Harrow bowl circa '78-80. First bit is all roller skaters, but gets into skaters after about 7-8mins. Worth a look.
