Ccupcake,

We've all been there making a lifestyle choice. But why take out your frustrations on a forum full of dudes that are still actually skating?

I know plenty of peeps that bitch and moan cause they are not back in their prime. One of my good freinds really fucked up his wrist trying to be cool with the boys one day. He took time off, got all deppressed, then called one day and told me he wasn't going to try and be his 19yr old bad self some 20 odd years later. He's back now, assesing risk differently than before, still having fun skating and mixing it up with the boys. Most imprtantly he's happy and positive.

My advice if I may Amigo; dial back the ego and go have some fun. Your body is missing the feeling of being flush with adrenaline.

Just one addict to another..........

Yeah cupcake, I told him he needs to go tuck knee, but he says he never could do it that way.  But, he skates better now than I EVER did, so I can't give him any flack.  Anyway, I think those plastic trucks he rides are Gullwings, but I'm not sure.

I broke my ankle getting back into skating, so I know what you mean.  It does change your perspective.  I know I break a lot easier now than back in the day, but I still somehow think that I can skate and probably not get hurt.  It is a mind game.

there are so many of us that are  still skating now,I  don't know what sparked it but without BDS making  boards that I can ride it was gonna be alot harder

I know theres other wide board makers but I found bds first. cupcake maybe    you should stare down the grim reaper up there on the coping and skate then you might be happy again because you are miserable now that you've stopped!

This is a great thread started by Natty, that has some great footage of a great park...and I laugh now, because, at the time, I had no clue who cupcake was...Dude really had gotten under my skin. And in his typical "Dan" fashion, most of his post disappear almost as quick as they appear...enjoy the video.

 @ Natty,...thinkin' about ya bro !

I just discovered the Streets on Fire Turf footage on Youtube.  Not sure how long it will be there, though.  So, time to resurrect this old thread and post the video.  DHS made one of his first appearances, all stealth-like, in this thread.  Good stuff.

Yeah, that clover was the best and I've never seen another like it.  We now have a concrete replica of that clover about 2 hours north of Milwaukee, but it's just not the same.  And the clover they just built in the Milwaukee area is really not the same.  RIP Surfin' Turf.

If somebody had a boat load of money, the original bowl could be resurrected.  It's still there all filled in.  The property has been for sale for a couple of years now and I don't believe it's been bought yet.
