Had a decent skate session a couple of weeks ago. Sister came to visit and wanted to go watch, and she took some phone camera shots. After this session, some kids spray tagged the bowl with white spray paint. Now the city will probably make it slick by painting over it with that gloss paint they use to cover it.

Nice shot. I hear you on the graffiti situation. If someone explains to the local Council why painting over graffiti instead of removing it is bad, they might understand and not do it.

Hate it when they slick up a bowl with more paint.

Thanks to all. I'm really enjoying getting out there again. Gonna push for more next trip over there.

Right. There's got to be a cost effective way to dissolve it and wipe it. Hell, carburetor cleaner on a rag works pretty well, but isn't very cheap. Then there's the human absorption and evaporative issues of it harming people or the atmosphere, etc...

Paint stripper. Paint it on, wash off with a jet wash. No harm to the atmosphere.

Went back over there Saturday. They cleaned it off mostly with something. I was impressed that they didn't paint over it.

I took a pretty bad spill also. Right elbow pad and left wrist guard did their jobs. Sadly, the right hip took a big thud.

Gonna take a week or so to see how things feel, then back at it.

Thank you very much! I learned that the new age calls front side grinders "slashers" now.

Nice pics!  When they tag our park, the city closes the park completely for a few days to clean it.  So, when someone gets caught within a hundred yards with a spray can there is a good chance for an Atlanta ass kicking.  [smile]  I don't know what they use, but the graffiti is totally gone.  People seem to have respect for our park.

Thanks Z/C for the kudo's. That's very cool. It definitely says, "we want our park to stay clean".
We have another park about an hour from here that I have scary notions when compressing in the 3 wall area in fear of washing out due to the gloss gray paint. I picked up some 90a wheels to try out over there the next trip.

ZombieChristoph, Here's another showing some of the white paint tags, and will get another after they mostly cleaned it off when we go over there again next. Not perfect, but they got most of it off.
Oh, and another "slasher" grind.[smile]
