Here's one of me ..frontside air at the indoor section of Fyber Ryder

Most of my really nice photos were lost in a move to Texas in 1980...

That is Moving On Skatepark In San Diego.
Tim showed me where the park use to be.
A book about skateparks from the 70's that showed the park.
When the park was demoed Tim went and picked out some sections that were painted.

It was a "tub" or sorta a replica of the Clamshell pool at Winchester. Rounded deep end. Parrallel sides and small squarish shallow with bowled corners. No coping, but you could drop in from anywhere. It had a small roll in.
But by far, the peanut was the pool to skate. Without even trying, you were on the coping in the deep. It was "Drop-In" only. No tile, just baby butt smooth...

 Here's some Scuba Retro...

Damn, Dirty South Krewe....

Fiber Ryder reminded me that the 1st indoor skatepark in Wi, was this place called Biddles Skateboard Palace. It had a bunch of ramp compilations, one of which was the "Human Pinball Machine"

There were these buttons that you would try to roll across to score more points.  I also remember a clear plexiglass halfpipe that was so slippery it was unridable.

 But it was a blast!!

Somewhere (who knows?) there's a picture of me "one wheeling" the human pinball machine at Biddles.  It was the day I got my DT Rock 'n Rollers.  Those wheels opened up a whole new world for me.

1989 might not be retro to some of the more experienced out there, but Jeff's ramp in South Jersey was a blast! Gotta love the fashion choices.
