Ok Men! We got a bunch of great collector sites and we need one more. This one is dedicated to our own Rick "Rubberman" Blackhart" AKA Dr. Blackhart. He was riding a "Black Night" Roller Derby back in 69, while some of us were sucking our thumbs or thought skateboards were yoyos with wheels! The guys has shit loads of style & kick ass attitude to back it! Who else could have helped evolve skateboarding by helping to design, test & rip the first Indy Truck or the famed BH Wheel?

Another reason why I started this site is because DOC's wheels & facts are all over the map on the BDS message boards. Everything can be now shared at one location. How did DOC originate the OG Indy or what the fuck is in that illegal compound that makes Blackhart wheels so fucking fast? Guys please share your stuff here! This site has got to be unpredictable, spontaneous & opinionated ... just like the DOC ... so don't hold back

First off is some Magenta BH Wheels scored off of an Olson Deck purchased on egay from Blair (Thanks Blair!). They are waiting for a test ride once I get the guts! I know ISLANDSK8R has already volunteered to be a test pilot on these bad ass slicks!

Not sure if you realised that those belong to Rick he posted that picture on another thread, I just thought they should be in this thread. I think I have a couple of other pictures of Ricks stuff somewhere on my PC but I'll let Rick post up his own stuff.....there's lots of it.

Doc, Was Merrick skating with you on SC back in the mid 70's. I was a Sac local and hung out at Sierra Wave and work at Skateboard City just down the road from the park.

hey mo..... yay, sierra wave. I remember eating pizza, apple juice, and a glass of milk right before I drove the two or three hours to get there and then puking as soon as I drove in the lot. hahaha. I got so sick I couldnt skate for three days. other than that it was pretty fun.

lets see, merrick. I think he was around for a whille, but he was there before me I think. wasnt he buddies with robert garrett? that era is a little fuzzy.

Im thinking of "the heat wave" in modesto. shit I got 'em mixed up. I told you that era was fuzzy. you actually made me start thinking. NOW I remember sierra. I had alot of photo's from that place. killer half pipe with a sheet of plywood braced up at the top, and that big huge bowl on the other side right? yeah now I got it. they made me wear rental pads and helmet the first time I went. yuk.  oh well nevermind the prints. wrong place.

fuck yes. N-men rule. all those guys are killer bro's. I just skated with steve-o at a private san jose sesh a few weeks ago. we cruised the gay ass skater of the year awards banquet that nite too. I was live on the radio recently with steve-o and randy katen who's now in montana. that was a gas. they cut me off for swearing too much. hahahaha.......are you still skating?

Yea I heard about the radio gig! Bahahahahha! Classic. I still skate but not like I would like too. I have 2 bad knees and waiting to get my left one replaced. I mainly just carve to the best of my abilities and have fun. Enjoy watching the better skater tear it up.
Modesto was a crazy park had that big ass slalom run and fun to skate there.
