Board arrived in V.B. from ATL yesterday afternoon. Gonna try to get out today and/or tomorrow while my son is in town from Colorado. Looking to do a fairly quick turnaround to keep it moving while it's still nice out, so who's next ???

The board is in Maryland with Queue, so if any of you Maryland guys want to get in on the action, now is the time to hit up Queue and set it up.

The board is going to SantaMonicaDog next for its final stop.  So, if anybody else wants a turn, speak now or forever hold your peas.

Grandpaskates seemed to vanish and I could not reach him by PM.  Pimp got the board in El Paso though.  But, if you want to take charge for another visit to Texas, we can make it hap'n cap'n.  The board is in Santa Monica now, but we hope to have it moving again very soon.  So, let me know if you want the board to come to you next.

Just a repost of a great pic and post by Mo to remind us what this is all about.  Note Mo's signature line at the bottom.  Most of the F.U. Heroes donations have gone to Grind for Life, so I know Mo would be stoked by that.

I also want to acknowledge Zenklee (Paul) one more time.  Paul was cool like the other side of the pillow.  He never had a bad word to say about anybody and always was about BDS and the stoke of skateboarding.  He faced his cancer with uncommon courage, grace and dignity.  He fought the good fight to the end and fed off of the prayers, support and good vibes of the BDS community.  Paul considered all of us family, just as we did him.

As the picture shows, Paul was a musician.  He really surprised me once on the forum when he identified an obscure Steely Dan lyric I had quoted.  Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Paul, I felt a connection to him through not only his common like of Steely Dan, but through the stoke for skating that he quietly shared with all of us.

If I remember correctly, Paul explained that Zenklee is the phonetic spelling of the Polish(?) word that is said when making a toast.  If that's correct, then we raise our glasses to you Zenklee and say "zenklee."

First time ever posting a photo on the internet. This is me, with my band, Dead Air, playing at a Santa Barbara County Food Bank benefit show at the Loading Dock, in Orcutt. The photo was taken by my wife, Marcia.

I will soon be posting pics of my sweet rides, a 38" Gashead and a Gashead II. I'm waiting on wheels, trucks and bearings for the new deck and new wheels for the older deck.

OK, found that post by Zenklee in this thread on user names http://bulldogskates.websitetoolbox.com/post/usernames-573874?trail=15&highlight=user+name.

It's an Hungarian toast.

"zenklee" (probably not spelled right) is a Hungarian drinking toast.  It means "my glass is level."  You're supposed to say it before you drink and keep saying it until you can no longer say it truthfully.

I learned this from a Hungarian friend, while drinking "Polinka" (again, probably not spelled right), a 160 proof plum brandy in an unmarked bottle with a cork.

I've used it for a 'zine I used to put out and as a username online since the early '80's
