My Washington Capitals win their first Stanley Cup in franchise history. I saw my first Caps' hockey game at Capital Centre in late March of 1976 against the Detroit Red Wings a few days before my 13th birthday. Been a long journey with many seasons ending in complete disappointment. This year's playoff run and last night's victory were as sweet as it gets for a long suffering fan. GO CAPS!!
