So the 15 year search/yearning for this deck finally came to an end today when I opened the box.
I remember the picture of it back in 2002 when the Flat Pig Murfs and the Venice Cross came out.
And to be told only one Murf was done on Formica, and to top that, that a collector that is not in the business of selling decks has it (who I might add is very well off and doesn't need the money from deck sales so I’ve been told), needless to say I gave up on it.
I tried here and there over the years to find out who has it to make them an offer for it, and nothing ever transpired.
Fast forward almost 15 years... it shows up on eBay??? FUCK!!!!
As soon as I saw it I knew what I was looking at, I didn't even think twice before hitting the BIN now.
It had been up for about 4 hours when I saw it, I can't believe it lasted that long.
So today I open the box and there it is!!
It has some storage scuffs nothing very major or even noticeable when hanging up, it is screened a little off center, the signature is showing it's age, and a very slight twist.
My opinion on this deck is it probably has been in storage most of those years, per the scuffs, the truck holes at the top are pierced so it did hang at one time or anther but all in all it is so very sweet.
I’m very glad to own it and finally get it out there for people to see and know that hey it exists.
So enjoy the photo, it is now in a very deserving home.
I say that as anyone could have snatched it up, but it was me that got it, like it was meant to be or something like that.
Someone was smiling at me that day for sure, a 15 year search is a lot of time to put into something.
