Many of my favourites have already been mentioned.

Steve Cooney's ULU 32 is another vid I really like. It is from around 2003, long sold out, but can still be found in Bali bootleg stores. Definitely worth getting a copy.

"ULU 32 documents the incredible waves which have been discovered in Indonesia over the past 32 years. Featuring some of the world's best cameramen and surfers. If you haven't been to Indo, you'll be going real soon!"

Great vid, great waves, great music, great old footage. Some "Morning of the Earth" scenes in there, too.

Trailer...

Some Curren...

Some Mentawais...

Indo rules!

Ogden is a master at bringing 20's/30's art neuveu to surf art, big influnce on me....Griffin is my biggest, if you look at his detail work as a pen artist, it's all perfect, much like watching Curren surf, there's never a move that you go, "I would have done this instead..." cuz he already done the perfect move....Wes's art touched me before I even knew who he was, he like's bold lines/traps like I do, & his freehand is the cleanest bomb....other artists are Peunelas(surfer mag, Manyard & the Rat), Phil Roberts for doing amazing surfing art still to this day.....Rietvelt is crazy amazing, his work for Maui & Sons in the eighties made that brand....Jim Phillips always inspires, always....VCJ art is clean & timeless... Jack Kirby & too many comic book artist's too mention, or remember...even Mad mag & Cracked mag had amamzing illustrators......I never formally went to art school, but I look back on any art that inspired me as 'class', cuz I certainly studied the shit outta any piece that truly spoke to me.........Thanks Wes for being a major part of that group......

Lots of good ones listed.  Morning of the Earth is my favorite one to watch high Outta more modern films, any of the films from Captain Fin Company are good, anything by Thomas Campbell.  You all need to check these out as well

Saw the movie when it came out. Great insight into the early days of pro surfing. Rabbit's story is really touching.
Shaun Tomson was screening. We had a nice chat. I shared a story about when he was visting Santa Cruz in the late 70's and my friends and I where driving all over to find him.  He's a really nice guy. Except when you are both going for the same wave.
