Hey all, Colorado skater here, just wanted to introduce myself. I'm an Ohio native who started skating in 1983 or there abouts. Skating was pretty much my whole world up until 94 when I found myself doing it less and less. For the last twenty years I hardly rode at all for myself, (I'd hop on occasionally to teach my kiddos something). Two weeks ago my wife brought home a dinged up Sector 9 longboard she found at a thrift store. It was in a bad way but I patched it up, restored the wood, patched the tail and nose, sanded and painted it back to a functional state. I ride that thing everyday now, take it to the local park and carve transitions like the old days. I feel like a kid again.

I'm looking to connect with old skaters and I'm also looking for another project deck to restore. It feels good to have wood under my feet again!

Welcome from NorCal Wine Country!
Once a skater, ALWAYS a skater!  The feeling and attitude never goes away, though it might hibernate for a time.
