Just a bit pissed with G&S it says on there site "the bottom will be 100% to spec" so why is it blue stained even the original add the deck looks full colour blue!
Never thought G&S would throw a low ball.

I've dealt with Deb Gordon and Dave Anderson for years and they've always treated me right.   I'd imagine they had intentions of doing the deck 100% to spec or would have never said that.  Per Dan, it sounds like there was a problem with securing Yorklite in blue.  Perhaps they should have sent an e-mail to the pre-orders?  Don't know if they did that as I didn't pre-order one.  The deck on their site is mocked up with what looks like blue Yorklite or some kind of laminate bottom.

Dan also mentioned this is going to be done in red Yorklite and another person told me they have plans to do it in black as well. Still a cool deck - look at Mark's post of his setup in the reissue/reproduction thread! I also understand Dan's sentiment of differentiating with his OG deck in blue.

I misspoke if i wrote red YORKITE, because I am 100% sure that YORKITE is no longer around in RED or BLUE!.

It was hinted that it would possibly be laminate. I am assuming the blue stain was done to meet the holiday deadline, and price point. Still a great deck with good lines, stickers,  and top grip !! Anyone thinking they were getting a 1970's exacted copy has their head in the sand!!!

The web site has a contact link, a phone number, David Anderson is 100% the man if you have a question and need to know shit. Debbie cares about G&S - so dose Eric. Booth of them and their staff are full throttle with G&S products. I think were all lucky to see them doing these decks. Doug Saladino approved his reissue as well!!

Set it up and ride it, burn it to keep warm or koook some soup!! Its a cool deck that is planned to return soon in red - probably a stained red

Dan, I hadn't re-read your previous posts. Sorry, I had that wrong.  You mentioned Yorklite not being available in blue and that red was next, so perhaps just wishful thinking on my part.  [frown]
