hi Joe, welcome from Sydney, ex-London. Nice collection, you've certainly come to the right place. There are some very serious collectors here and it's still a great place to be for all things skating.

We've got the Ashes on down here, started yesterday.

No mate, Ive got a pale yellow  26" Fibreflex, 2 gold Sims racing bearings and 1 ACS 651 hanger on fleabay. Where abouts from London did you live? Sorry I don't follow cricket mate but baseball I do, played it for 13 years in London.

Must be your namesake.

Lived around Bayswater, Westbourne Park. Sydney is sort of like London with a beach, and as I surf it suits me. Get back once a year.

Bloody hell!!! Thats spooky having the same name. Nice area Bayswater, Hyde Park nearby sort of, I had one of my worst wipe outs in Hyde Park, it happen going over the bridge by the restaurant, I was on my cheapo plastic board with urethane wheels that had no grip and open bearings. Going down the hill the rock hard urethane wheel caught a gravel stone and you can imagine the rest, I think I tore 2 inches of skin off my elbow. Worst of all it was a sunny Sunday packed full of people, I think the pain was more overwhelming than the embarrassment. I laugh about it now.
One thing Ive never done is surfing, Im a terraferma you see, its funny that, back in the day I watched footage and tv ads like Old Spice,
, with surfers which inspired me to skate in the first place. I do snowboard though, I can bomb it down and fall off with a soft landing most times, skateboarding is a different matter for me now, lets just say a bit more cautious these days and wearing no protection doesn't help, Im just too old school I can't stand wearing helmets and pads.

Cheers mate, love the 70's decks that still had the classic surfboard shape before they all got fat and "piggy" shaped in the 80's.
