Sorry for your loss, I pray for peace for you, your Dad and family.

My dad is 88, WWII vet (Peleliu Island), and been a widow for almost 9 yrs. It just so happened that my now ex-wife wanted to split up right before my Mom got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. It all sucked at the time but has worked out great as I've gotten to live with my Dad ever since, I cherish these years. My Dad has been great and keeps himself very busy, still driving at 88 but I don't know how much longer. I know he misses my Mom but he is enjoying seeing my son and his other grand and great grandchildren grow up.

Sounds like your Dad is a very strong person who still has alot of living to do. God bless him!

Take care,
Scuba

Just got back from Tejas. My Pop is doing great. We really had a celebration of my Mom's life by the people in their church. Lots of funny stories and several really moving ones on how she touched other peoples lives in her quiet way.

I was able to spend several days with my Pop before he passed away in hospice last week. Some of the most precious days of my life. He lived to be 87. He was a heck of a guy. I will really miss him. Feels weird not to have any parents.

Those are memories you'll cherish forever. Condolences to you and your family, Gary.
