The smithsonian institue should have an exhibit on the history of Skateboarding in america. That Z-Flex prototype should be in there along with some other hand drawn dogtowns and such. Surf / skate is a culture as much as anything else in this country.

I agree... Probably wont happen unless someone hip from Gen X gets into some seat of power.  Like if Tony Hawk or Christian Hosoi were elected to office.  Or any one of us!  I mean its only NOW fully excepted by average folks right?  Im sure plenty still see it as 'new.'

Pimp, I think it is incredible that so many NOS undrilled decks survived! and you seem to have them all! Did you get them all separately or as a group? are those all the colors? Would you like to adopt me?

HA HA! sure, I could adopt, but would have to chain you to the dead tree in the backyard!

I got these one at a time(persistance) and ,yes,  6 standard colors (red, blue.yellow, orange, white and black) and 2 "TEAM"(multicolr) decks and of course the Z-Woody

Funny the Smithsonian was brought up.  Just yesterday I was going through old pics and found the skateboard pic I took in the Smithsonian circa 1986?  I'll have to find a way to scan it, but there was a Powell Quicksilver and a Aluminum looking Powell / Peralta model.  Never had seen another like it.  But that was IT.

I think it was near the racecars, etc.  Would be interesting to know if the exhibit still exists or has grown.

Ouch: really cool they way you hung and framed those. Classy quality.

Pimp: you're ruthless. I drooled out of my mouth for a few minutes straight after seeing your stack o' Z's, but my brain hasn't stopped yet.

Guys in there with a sweet one too.
