I've never had a problem with any of my deathbox decks. I have heard some nightmare stories about them though. Especially in the early days.

My Hackett is one of the "thick bitch" ones they made later and it is a real stable board but even that one has a kinked tail though it's kinked just perfect for me. Never found the right set-up for this deck, though. Board always felt sluggish or awkward (moreso than my 36" Alva !). Question: are you going to skate your JA Deathbox ?

My Adams has been set up and torn up since I got. A good all around deck. My Hackett I cut and re shaped the nose. It was too long. The balance is much better as a snub nose.

Neither my adams or my hackett are thick bitches.
