I got my BDS longboard all set up today. Couldn't believe my Seismics came the same day as my Shogo's did from different vendors. Cool. Anyway I got everything all mounted up and it's so excellent. Those Shogo soft pours are so perfect. I'm really glad I went with them. I wasn't sure about it but was persuaded on this forum and they're perfect. I'm not used to seeing a off set wheel though. Looks like a board from my youth.

It's raining out so I haven't ridden it other than pushing through the garage but I can tell those Seismic's are the bomb. My question... is any one using them on a shorter board? I can tell right off that they're going to work really well. I'm thinking about getting another set to put on my Shogo board. I was just wondering it they'd be too "twitchy" on a shorter board?

Say what you want to about Dan Gezmer but the guy makes killer trucks. He can go uphill by gyrating only, from a standstill, backwards. Try that shit!

Howdy,
Crawdad, I won't advise against putting Seismics on a short
deck but, for my taste there was not enough of a difference
between Seismics on my Bulldog deck and how I normally
run my Webbs on my Bulldog to make the switch.
For me, Seismics are a long WHEELBASE deck truck. I
wouldn't hesitate to put some 180mm Seismics on my Flores
deck.(19" wheelbse) I've read some good things about
Seismics on the Skaterbuilt Jay Smith deck(17 1/2" wheel-
base), and the Seismics on my Afroman Hustler are KILLER!
It's definitely a personal taste thing. But Stubbs is right,
Seismics are awesome trucks!

Someone posted that Seismics are great but the guy said he did one grind and took a serious chunk out of the rear hanger. It makes me wonder if it's the best choice for a park set up.
I ride my 38 Special with Randals at a park but I always avoid grinding them as much as possible. Great ride but it's limiting.

i havent had a problem with my seismics and i was grinding on concrete coping in kona. i have also done a few curb grinds with them. possible fluke? i dunno, but i do know my seismics are holding up great. i love it how i use my longboard for both park and slalom without having to change trucks.

zero problems here. the alloy that seismic uses is harder than conventional trucks, so it could have been a fluke.

Must've been fluke I guess. I'm gonna have to try a set then cause it was my main reservation.

Harder alloy? I was wondering. I checked their website after reading about the chunk coming out but I didn't see anything tell the specification of the aluminum alloy. Thanks for the info. MileHigh.

I've actually had a chance to ride them a bit more. Haven't ridden them in vert but did some fairly high speed runs and carves. Handles great. I have a pair of ExSkates on my 54" board and I didn't think there was anything that could compare to the turning ability of them but I have to say the Seismic's are as good if not better because of the stabile control they give over ExSkates just excellent turning ability.

Mark - I think they may be referring to Green Monkey's post on SnB. Hit him with a private message.

all's well on the seismic front.

although we're currently low on many of the seismics, we're placing a hugh order and will have more stock the first or second week of may. also bringing in the excellent 3dm/Seismic wheels, too.
