I know he's the Euro-contact for CW, but I'm not sure if Europe has its own edition of CW or not.  Haven't seen one before.  PM me if you want his number - I lost his eMail addy.  I know I had it before... just don't know what the hell I did with it... but I still got his phone #.

No, CW does not have a Euro edition.  Jim is the foreign correspondant.

Guys, Thanks for identifying Junglejim. I think I have some more pics to  post. Thanks to Konarider for starting this thread. Probably would not have made it w/o his updates. This could end up being a really BIG thread w/ lots of posts. I know the rest of you are still holding back some photos.

Hell Yeah, that's Jungle Jim Kuiack, awesome photog & great guy. He's totally into BDS, we talked about the decks and he's really stoked on Wes' stuff.
Jim's e-mail is junglejim@aol.com., and I mentioned this board to him so maybe he'll jump in. Jim? Jim?

Hey Rattownsk8ter - that first pic at the top of the page is my homey Kurt Thuemmler from West Palm Beach.  I just skated the Y with him last night actually.  Cool guy and awesome skater, and I think he's 38 now too!

Second pro pic is the ripper Tim Johnson.

Jim Kuiak is a fun guy, full of amazing travel stories.  He came to dinner with us that Saturday night, and we were ready to make travel plans to Grand Cayman after hearing about his fun at the grand opening of the Black Pearl Skatepark there.  That park is ridiculous.

FYI, there will be another killer session on June 25th at the Kona pool.  Kelly Lynn, Chris Baucom, MikeDWalrus, and some of the legendary Orlando crew should be there.  They couldn't make the big weekend because some of them were just getting back from the Bear race in Abq.

Check out Kelly frontside above the stickers at Carbondale, taken while we were at Kona:

Hey guys,  KONARIDER here, (On 70'sSkater's Computer) Just wanted to let you know that I flew up to Beer-City, Wis., to visit my bud 70sSkater, And he has treated me royally.

Got of the plane and was quickly escorted to "Four Seasons Skatepark.

Imagine, if you will, a huge, decades old factory, that had a ceiling about 4 or 5 stories high.

Then  imagine the entire floor of this place covered with curved plywood.

70s has a brother that also was instrumental in my introduction to the board. His name is Clay, and we were transported back (a little too quickly) to our days of youthful "barging" of the park. No warm ups on the street area, No mini half-pipe hits...no, straight to the perfectly sculpted wooden clover bowl, . Where Clay, drops in , hits two bowls then into the deep and frontside airs it like he did when we were 14.

I was a little upset that I couldn't warm up, but there was the pool, and my skate was in hand, so I had to find a line and quick! (Yes, always a little rivalry between Clay and me ) We always pushed each other harder and higher. "70's", surprisingly off crutches from his shattered ankle, but still hobbling, was the designated "Photog".

I have hit three parks in three days, and we are meeting back at "4 seasons" this afternoon.

The greatest thing is ...NO HUMIDITY! This is great, I might have to come up a lot more often.

Peace Brahs,

Konarider

Hey Guys, Bulldog cuaght the post. I'm stoked!
Just arrived back in Jax. Man, 70's skater treated me to a real fine time, (You should see his quiver...sweet.)
6 Parks in 4 days and I'm still alive! Although, while warming up on a mini- half, I tangled up a RnR on masonite and "BONG!" hit the back of my head for the 2nd time in 28 yrs. "TWEET-TWEET!" knocked myself out,... at least, I kept telling myself to get up but my body would not obey.
But recovered and skated for another 3 hrs.
Told alot of kids about BDS, and told them to search their roots. (They all were lovin' the "Tail Tap II".)
Pics comin' up as soon as 70's get's em on the thread.(Hint!)
Could not believe that I skated in a skatepark within viewing distance off the house I lived in when I stepped on the Freeformer. What lucky kids, the town's population is 20,000.

Thanks for making this so fun again!

Perhaps the only advantage to being the "official photog" is having the opportunity to post embarrassing photos of your bros before they get to see 'em.  Well, most of the pics turned out pretty well, so nothing too embarrassing for Kona.  So, I guess I'll just post a few of Kona skating at 4Seasons Skatepark in Milwaukee.  The first two are before and after Kona's major crash after doing a decent rock 'n roll.  In the second pic I think you can still see the birdies circling around his head.  At least by the time I took that pic Kona could stand and crack a smile.  I just didn't have the heart to take a pic of him collapsed at the bottom of the halfpipe while groaning and twitching involuntarily.  He did give me a scare for a minute there.  Funny, though, but since the crash, he keeps calling me Shirley.

Oh, the pain!

Do you remember when looking at the pictures in Skateboarder asking yourself:  "Did he make it?"  So, I ask you, in this next photo, did Kona make it?

We had a blast.  I wish I could have skated (even though that bowl is way beyond my ability), but takin the pics was a lot a fun (and a lot less painful).  But, for now, I have to work on my therapy.  Excuse me while I scoot a towel across the floor with my toes (you guys who have been there know what I'm talking about).

Okay, so I thought I would bore everybody and post one more pic from our Milwaukee session, just because I like this pic.  The pic is of my brother doing one of his classic frontside airs.  Even though he started doing frontside airs in the 70s, he never did them tuck knee style.  Still, I have to give him credit for getting any air at all at our age.  Note the Ultrathane Mini Dubs.  This was his first session on those wheels.  He couldn't believe how smooth and grippy they are.  Now, if I can just get him on a BDS deck.
