In the new Rolling Stone (alright, alright, don't bag on me for OCCASIONALLY buying RS) there is a Lenny Kravitz interview which says when Lenny's parents made the move to LA from NYC he started skating w/ "the Dogtown/Z-boy crowd" and his nick name was "Soul Surfer".

Wha... ?

Any locals have anything to add ?

Thats new to me...I never knew a Lenny Kravitz in DT in the 70s. I will ask PC if he knew of that, but I doubt it.
Just a hunch, but he may have been in Hollywood, L.A., Palasades or Malibu during that time, but not DT. Maybe TA skated with him at some point...its possible.
