Hi folks, I started reading around this site and now realized I posted some "non-BDS" pics in the Where did you skate in the 70's thread, but related to the parks and locations in general. No disrespect intended.

I guess my question is, is this Shallow End, and also the Deep End considered the more open discussion areas where some non BDS stuff might end up getting posted?

I kinda lopped off the nose of a board that's not BDS/Dogtown, in trying to get it to be a snub nose or blunt nose look like the Plank or Q blunt types, and hoped to find the proper forum area where I might post up a pic of it for opinions? I think it's still a tad squared off looking.

Please forgive me if I posted in the wrong area's till I'm a tad more familiar with the site. I did find a Powell Peralta section, which this mod is dealing with, but in trying to make it more BDS like, that makes me want to ask first.

Thanks,
Andy

Andy - Although I'm sure many appreciate your awareness and sensitivity about this, there's nothing wrong with posting up non-BDS pix or info.  Deep and Shallow End areas are fair game, but especially take a look through Collectors Corner.  There are dozens upon dozens of threads about non-BDS skate gear there.  One place typically off limits for starting new threads about non-BDS things would be the Bulldog Skates (subtitled: "All Things BDS").  Ironically, the thread you mention about skating in the 70s is there.  But, the hint that what you posted is not a problem is the reply from Wes himself.  Of course we're here out of appreciation and support for Wes, there's a lot of focus on the stoke of skating and collecting.

Andy the only thing I would add to Mikes reply is that we frown on someone promoting products that compete with Wes. That can get you booted quickly. Otherwise have some fun and thanks for sharing.

Thanks you guys & Andy thanks for checking the rules, i'm probably one of the worst at them & first thing I thought reading your post was I didn't make BDS in the 70's? [rofl]  Just look out for that Tony B. guy He's like that mean sister that will whack Ya on the knuckles with a ruler for mistakes! [rofl]

Thanks for the heads up to all above. Kinda saw the Shallow and Deep ends as the general areas.

And thanks Wes. I'm kinda late to the party on the BDS bandwagon, but I'm here finally. I remember when the first production Dogtown decks started circulating, and have some mid to late 70's skate rags in a box somewhere showing lots of the original artwork you did way back then. It is still such an iconic logo design that anyone that skated back then would immediately recognize it. The BDS art is also top notch!

I was immediately welcomed "home" and it seems like it already. So, thanks again to all.

And Wes,, my second grade teacher used to pinch an arm, or slap the knuckles with a 12" wooden ruler when we needed some "discipline" for acting a fool. I seriously do remember what that feels like! [mad] I'll keep an eye out for Tony B.

Thank you very much for that intro Wes[rolleyes][fu3] , much appreciated, but I’m not the only one who’s pulled people up.[biggrin].

The only thing I’m going to add is in the Collectors Forum make sure your posts are relevant to the thread you are posting in.

AND - Thanks for asking the question Andy, many don’t and have to be schooled accordingly.
