I rode an EE this past Saturday...

Just kinda goofing off in a big parking lot. Made my BDS LB feel like a shortboard!!!

It was pretty cool tho, mebbe someday I'll get one...

I'm nowhere near the ability level to think about riding one in a park...

I had to bust out the tape measure and see what 54" is like to my 40" deck. From what I can see it sure looks INSANE. Wouldnt mind trying something like that.

10"x54"? It comes with it's own area code, right?
When I was a kid I always wanted one of those "Pure Juice" longboards and I just saw one on eslave. If it wasn't for all these bills I'm racking up from breaking my wrists I might have gone for it... I'm having Danny at F13 build me a "long pig" kinda thang like a BIG Z-Pig meets a Sims 36" and that'll be my next project. It should be around 11"-11.5" wide.
I'm with everyone else on this - my BDS Longboard is just fuckin' rad!
My prediction is that I'll be bombing hills on something in the 40"+ range in the not so distant future.
If you haven't already, check out the longboards at http://www.skateboardcollector.com/longboards.html

How about a prize for photos of the most extreme injuries that occurred while longboarding?

Good to see all the longboarding talk here. I started skating in '76, mostly freestyle and some vert (parks were hard to find in England then ...). Moved to the States (NYC)in '81 and was out of skating for a few years until I the mid 80's. Bombing hills became my main outlet in the late 80's/90's, NYC parks sucked, street skating was king and it just wasn't my scene. Now I'm getting back in the bowls, riding my Bulldogs, but still love to head to the hills and get my adrenaline fix with a gravity assist. I love the Bulldog longboard but it's not a downhill stick to me... I'd be pretty stoked to see a real Bulldog looooongboard come out.
My downhill quiver is 40" comet spoon w/ Randall 150's and 78a flashbacks, old sector nine pintail from their backyard days on R180's and flashbacks and for the really sick runs ... a flexdex 60" (yes, 60") on R180's and 82a flashbacks ( still think 54" is long?), the harder wheel allows a bit more slide to throw the back of this long deck around.
Bomb hills, not peeps ...
For those who know where I'm coming from here's an interesting site http://www.longboardmaps.com ...

Later y'all ...
Ash
