Ratone,
If you would like some authentication on whether it is one of Lonnies riders, send an email and a pic to Gordy Liennemann.
He is in touch with Lonnie on a regular basis, he showed him pics of mine and Lonnie gave it the thumbs up.
I got it off ebay around 6 years ago and the story went something like this:
Lonnie gave the board to a kid in Canada when they were touring doing Pepsi demos after he showed them to a local pool. He held onto it since '77 and it was time to sell it.
Lonnie signed it for him.
It's a beautiful board, it still has pencil marks where the measurements where made for drilling.
Cheers,
Tony

Dan, The second Toft deck I just got is stiffer and made of laminated Birch or Mahogany, I do not remember which. But it is the same as the bottom layer of the Bambo I have. It was the only one Lonnie made like this before he started doing them all  Bambo. I took a couple of photo's for you see the Rocker/ Kick tail, not a lot, but it dose feel good.
Here is the Bambo deck

Here is the Snub Nose

Them together

At Toydland, I was dying to ask to Lonnie to make some more boards .... but I didn't want to "hassle" him the first time I met him !

He said he quit skating (but not Surfing).

Why doesn't he want to make decks, or commision them?

"Hello Factory 13 this is Lonnie Toft etc. etc."

Not to get into Lonnies business, but it is a lot of work for him to make these decks and very time consuming. I talked to him about a month ago about seeing if he would start up agian if he had the funds to cover  start up, he liked the idea but he said he enjoys his free time and would rather be on the water then messing with decks. I fully understand, He did say it is not completely out of the question but right now he would rather not build any more.
