RIP and condolences to a man whose creative genius gave skateboarding new and improved gear that was light years beyond anything of that era .

Thanks you guys, I have so many funny memories of Kent & Jay when they moved in next to my folks place.  I was riding my old 10 speed home from the beach & turned the corner & Jay was shooting a brand new skate board into the curb as hard as He could then tossing it into the air & letting it smash onto the street. I rolled up & said WTF are you doing to that board it's brand new aqua green board, chicago trucks, cadillac wheels 100 times better than my home made with the trucks held on by wood screws! Hahahaah  soon after I met Kent & we talked about the boards He was making & that He wanted to make a indestructible board cuz kids destroy them so fast, He showed Me this old Hobie He thought was a good starting point & one of his boards so I could compare them then gave it to Me I was so Stoked & hooked it up right away.   Back at that time I don't think they even had a name I remember just calling them Kents Boards.

This was the board gave me with new chicago trucks, cadillac wheels..
