Thanks for the props guys.....how? just perseverance I guess, and loads of caffeine. Been airbrushing 20 years now....bound to get good at it if you keep at it...

Man that rocks!
I tried to get into airbrushing and bought this expensive iwata brush, thinking that I was going to pick it up right away, but man I sucked at it!!
That paint job rips! Mad skills!

um...what kind of Iwata ryan? I painted this with a C and an A size brush....but you can never have too many airbrushes.....if nuke don't want it I may take it.....

Nuke.....your first airbrush should be a paasche siphon feed airbrush....you put the paint in a bottle and attach it to the bottom of the airbrush....you get a lot of paint to practice with. The kit is probably around 65 or 75 online....you gotta have air.....those compressors that run all the time SUCK....but they work....a good compressor that  still makes noise costs about 300....or you could rent a nitrogen tank (this is best). You need a regulator for it (buy it), and the tank should last at least a month.

 

An airbrush makes two things. Dots and lines. Well three. It makes receding lines. How you put it together? practice. i used to airbrush 50 hours a week for almost 10 years. So, I got alot of practice in.

 

Stencils make life easier, but you still have to be deft in their use, and be able to tie stencil work into freehand work. Brush work is also important. umm...so are drawing skills.

Sorry man, I already sold it a while ago.
It was an Iwata HP-C, itworked really well, but my airbrusjing skills didn't come quick enough.
