Happy Belated Christmas! I hope everyone had a peaceful time. Well, since Christmas I've spend my days in hospital. Woke up at night, violent abdominal pain, couldn't even put on my trousers and shoes alone. Took a taxi to the hospital and shortly afterwards I had to undergo emergency surgery. Had a ruptured appendix and a peritonitis. Doctors said I escaped death by a hair's breadth. Still in hospital, but feeling better. I couldn't celebrate Christmas together with my family and we had to cancel our Christmas vacation, too, but now I'm just happy to be still alive. Health is the most important. Hope to be back home soon and looking forward to be around here more often again. Take care! Steven

Thanks, Joel. Doctor said if the blood test shows less leucocytes tomorrow I could go home. Fingers crossed! Not sure I'll be able to close my jeans then. During the surgery they pump a certain gas under your abdominal wall so they can see better during endoscopy. Unfortunately the gas needs up to a couple weeks to reduce. I've always had a flat belly, now I look like six months pregnant...lol
