Hey gang, name is Colin and living in Southern Ontario.  Admittedly I am here hoping to sell a few skateboards.  I've been clearing some things out of the basement that I don't use anymore and these fit the bill.

I know I can't post a sale right away, but looking forward to when I can.  Are there many members here that live in Canada, let alone Ontario?

Hey Colin -

Appreciate the honesty, so that means you can accept some in return.  Although there might be some guys here interested in what you're selling,  do everyone a favor and list them on eBay.  Everyone here knows how to find stuff on eBay.  That's what that place is for as seller and buyer protections are built into their business model.  This isn't your "list my shit for free" place.  If it's worth having, guys here will bid.  We don't know you and you don't owe us any favors by offering you're stuff here.  We've had too many people come here with stated intentions of selling their vintage this or vintage that and ended up fucking members over.  Good luck with your sales...on eBay.

THanks Mike,  I did have a few members PM me and helped me get the ball rolling.  I do have one on eBay already.  Am I allowed to at least say what it is here?  If not, that's cool to and I'll go on my merry way - no harm, no foul.

I don't get it.  Didn't come here to dick anyone around, just trying to sell a couple boards and thought people here might be interested.  Obviously I was wrong.

Thanks to the couple of kind members who have helped (if they see this).

Peace in the middle east gang.

So, Wes' house, his rules:
"Don't be surprised if you get some bashing for your first post if it's about selling something.
I know you're just asking for pricing and such, but the next obvious step would be a sale.
The forum etiquette here is to introduce yourself first.  Get to know a few folks, and let us all get to know you a little."  Posted by Bulldog himself in 2007.

So, it's kind of disrespectful to Wes to come in here, admittedly know the rules ("I know I can't post a sale right away"), and then circumvent them by saying you're selling in an introduction section.  So, if you go to a new place (bar, club, church, whatever your gig is), do you walk in and say, "Hi, I'm Colin.  Got some stuff to sell you that I know you guys want?" Rhetorical, so no need to reply.

People want to deal with you in PM?  Obviously their choice.  I'm guessing you probably assumed some folks would contact you as you seem like a reasonably smart guy, so pretty sure you can figure this stuff out on your own.

So, are you allowed to say what it is you have on eBay?  Well, that's kind of a douche bag move to reference your own eBay listing here - especially since you already know you shouldn't be doing this.

"Thanks to the couple of kind members who've helped you (sic) out" - you can complete your entire transaction in PM and everyone will be happy.  The rest of us who didn't contact you to find out what you're selling don't feel left out and don't give a shit.  After that, delete your account here unless you actually want to add something to the community - well, other than selling stuff.

Darb.....that is a very funny post AND awesome deck!!!

ColinSword,
MikeinMd and others are correct. Its not a knock at our door to sell us your skate shit site.
GLWS on ebay, and maybe just delete this entire introduction.
Especially when you knew the rules yet flouted them anyway....[misc5]

...and to be fair, I've never seen a single item being peddled from a gatecrasher that anybody here would want. I mean, a board shaped like a big knob are you serious?
