tony , both have small block chevy's.  wagon has a bone stock 305 with an overdrive trans. cruises at 80mph on the interstate smooth as silk.   vert has a crate 350 , mild cam and headers ,th350 with a shift kit .  not many miles on the vert but what i've put on it has been FUN

63 thru 65 had some of the best cars going.... That 63 Nova is a perfect example (nice job). By 66 the cars were getting way to big and heavy IMHO.

I agree completely MM, 65' the Impala/Bel Air/Biscayne got a lot bigger, way different car, I've never owned a Chevy newer than 63' except that 65' Nova wagon but they were still small

Here's my 1987 Buick GN I bought new.  Think I posted this or similar pic before.  Several mod's done to the 231 SFI Turbo V6 . Should be in the solid 11's with this combination.

Cool Roadrunner... Reminds me of my folks 1971 dodge dusters...
Dad had a green one, mom had a baby blue one... Both with:
Don't Blame Me, I voted for McGovern bumper sticker!!!
& Dad who was a USMC lifer and Vietnam Vet LOL....
Not to worry, went conservative as he aged. My Other Car is a Tank plates in 2000s :-----)

Ours had the small family with 4 kids type engines LOL
