^^^^^^^^^^^^...classic!

Here's a funny one to kick off with again.

Supposedly a Allan Gelfend rider? The guy I got if from says he got from a mate of Alan's who got it from him back in the day. I spoke to Alan regarding this board and not surprisingly he can't be 100% sure. But, he did say that the stickers are very much correct with his sponsors/etc and in the placement he used to put them. Another tell tail sign that it may have been his is the team only 'Stacy Peralta' sticker near the back truck.
Not sure he invented the ollie with a 'Power Pivot' on..heehee.
Either way - nice to have another old powell around with some banged up stickers on it.

Nice piece of sk8 history you got there, mwwstone. I bet the 'Power Pivot' & most of the other stickers are from the 2nd owner. Cool resto, & Mutt, dcwinter.

82-83' Caballero snubnose w/ Tracker Ultralites & Cubics.  85' Steadham w/ tail resto. Both no longer with me but, fun to look at here.

Thanks dcwinter and PK79...I really dig older powells (along with many other makes/companies) and enjoy seeing the few that have survived after all these years.
DCW - that mutt is super sweet. Not may nice white ones around like that.
PK79 - that black Steadham was my favorite board back in 85/86. Must be sad to see them go.

Here's my Jay Smith Powell Peralta britelite, I bought this at Oasis Skate park in San Diego, before this board was released Powell ran an ad with Jay Smith asking people to write Powell and get more info on the Jay Smith model, I wrote in and got this letter back and some stickers i think it was a Ray Bones sticker a powell peralta sticker and a Tri flon bearings sticker? I still have it today. So glad I never sold this one, regret selling my Sims Andrecht before this board.
and my original set up Independent 159s ( INDYS ALWAYS ) Sims Snake Conicals .

Heres my powells, always looking for more!

I've had this beater Steadham since around 88, bugged this rocker dude for months about it.

@capinbob - nice red S&S, very clean. Also like that DP.

@oldschool90291 - great you still have your old rider and been a Jay is just the icing on the cake. I have a soft spot of Jay's boards and yours looks nice with some sweet matching stickers too.
That letter is awesome - thanks for sharing. Also interesting to note the colors they sold Jays boards in (Red - funny they didn't say orange, Yellow, Purple and Lime).
Here's my beat yellow one in the same model shape..

@fatoldskater - Always like seeing your powell completes. That Tommy is choice. Red is a great colorway.

Thanks!  That V8 took me about a year to finally work a trade deal for.  It was worth it though!

Erin went out checking yard sales this morning while I was working. She came home with this:

Lots of Powell Peralta stickers including this one:

(shitty photo) 1986 Bones Brigade Summer Tour

It has "Action" trucks and OJ2 wheels

She gave the nice man TWO DOLLARS for it. Don't know much about 80's decks. Did he rip her off???
