re:tmdjj5 ... Ah, I'm quite familiar with that deck! Trevor let me ride it for the entire summer ... (the other side has some nice clear griptape over a green finish). It was even better once it had white ultradubs.

TonyB, That combo looks awesome. The black trucks with the mellow yellow, looks sweet with yellow and black outline on the graphic. Nice!

In honor of the Badgers' win in the Capitol One Bowl and the last game for coach Barry Alvarez, I give you the "Big Red Rad Machine."  Or, if you're not a Badger fan, how about this?  The Q10 is the sports car of the BDS lineup.  And this one is a lovely redhead.  So, how about the "BDS Testarossa?"

Set up with:  RED hand cut Jessup grip, RED prism tape, RED Indy 139s, RED Indy soft bushings, RED 1/2" soft risers, Sonic RED Dragons, Bones REDS bearings, RED Powell Nosebone, RED Powell Tailbone and G rated graphics mods.  (An artist, I am not.  And, FYI, paint pens do not work well on silk screened graphics.  They seem to dissolve the silk screened ink and stick to it as you are writing, yielding a sloppy result).

I'm getting my first BDS, which would be the Q10, and I already have some Indy 169s. What's a good wheelset for it that will keep it flush with the deck edge. Shogos, DubCons, Mini DCs, any other suggestions?  Half of my riding is in the skatepark other half on streets, what do you recommend?

On a Quad 10 with Indy 169's you'll need to run mini dubs for a flush wheel/edge set up. For which wheel you choose, that depends on the condition of the street and parks where you're going to skate.

For street skating, probably your best choice is the 75a Mellow Yellow. For parks, if you have the cash get the Black Death mini's when they're back in stock. Otherwise, for parks get the 95a (green) or 97a (orange) mini's. Or... wait a week or so for the new translucent mini dubs.

However, if you only want one set of wheels and the streets you skate are in pretty good shape, then the 90a black mini dubs should work well as an all around wheel.

For bearings, at minimum use Rockin' Ron's steel.

- Just my thoughts and what works well for me.

So the mini Dubs it is.  I kinda like how Shogos look so old skool but I guess they extend too far?

Yeah Pimp Stick, look at mine above.  Those are 139s (widest you can get in red), which make the Dragons flush with the edge of the board.  I would normally use 149s with Dragons for a 10" deck, but that does leave just a little wheel hang.  I like the Dragons too.  Big ol' contact patch and very much like the DT Rock n Rollers I used back in the day.  On the other hand, I think 169s with mini dubs would work great.

Wow, thanks gentlemen.  It was really fun setting that one up.  Those are some of my favorite BDS graphics already, but they really pop with the red stained background.  Almost too pretty to ride, but it is a rider and I have been riding it but, so far, only just down the street here in cold Milwaukee.  Turns really quick with those narrow trucks and soft bushings.  I likee.

If you want wider red trucks, I saw these Tracker Sixtracks on sk8supply's home page.  Not sure if they still have them in stock.  They have white baseplates, which could be painted or just leave them as is.

I also saw these Thunder King 145s on the skateboards.com website.  These would look pretty sick on the red Quad 10.

Pimp Stick, if you have to go with only 1 wheel, the white Ultrathane MiniDubs would probably be your best compromise.  Ok for both street & park.  I believe BDS is sold out, but I'm sure a forum bro could hook you up with a set.  The black 90A (NOT 80A) is the other good all-around formula.  The white Ultrathanes, while 92A, are still smoother & faster, due to the better urethane.
