Hi! Are there any plans to relaunch the 12" Quadplane deck? Or any suggestions of stores were I could possibly find such deck? I live in Europe but can have it shipped to an address within the U.S.

Appreciate your feedback.

Hi Jerry,

the quad-plane deck in all widths is definitely an awesome choice. Tell us about yourself and how you found this deck. Have you ever skated one? Where do you skate ?

Hi!

I am an old school skater living in Madrid, Spain. I started to skate back in the mid/late 70's in Caracas, Venezuela. My first deck was a Sims (7,5 or 8") w/ Gull Wing Trucks and Bones, then I managed to ride wider decks (mostly Sims, Variflex and Kryptonics). Things in Venezuela were more "brand oriented" perhaps? So my knowledge was quite limited - I also recall using tracker trucks. I attended college in upstate NY and took my skates to get around from building to building. I also snowboard but is not as self-rewarding. After graduation went back to South America and forgot completely about riding, you know marriage, corporate world, etc. and back during mid 2006 I decided to resume skating and had my old deck resurfaced (it was splinted), took it out for a spin and the wheels literally disintegrated. Bought some new age Kryptonics and it worked fine and I also bought a new skateboard and the only recognizible brand were the Wheels (Sims Phyton and according to the sales dude they were new generation).

At any rate, I started to skate here in Madrid and we have several skateparks (my favorite is Nepal, located in Alcobendas). I recently purchased a Powell Peralta Flite deck (9.7") and has a similar shape to BDS Quadplane deck - just a little bigger. To be honest, all this concave and new shapes are quite new to me - I am used to flat decks! This new Peralta deck it's quite different but extremely light!

To make it short, I'm redescovering a new hobby and I am also "transferring the skill" to my 9 year old and he loves it.

How did I find the QuadPlane? - Browsing and getting myself acquainted and doing research. There are a lot of fascinating things out there and Im building my very own collection and teaching my kids about "skateboard history". Please note that I don't hang decks on my wall - I ride'em! (not w/ the same skill level I had back in the late 70/early 80's). I am discovering a whole new world out there!

I don't want to bore you to death w/ this nonsense. If these decks happen to be relaunched please let me know and if you ever happen to be in this side of the woods, look me up.
