Yesterday I was on da beach called "les culs nus" (the naked ass) and it was pretty gnarly.
Typical of early automn heavy waves. 6 to 10 feet, offshore wind, a lot of closing barrel.
If you got the bomb you'd score big, but you could also get only closing wave and you'd score nothing.
Was nice to watch. Today it was much smaller but cleaner. I think Mick will win the world title. Just have a look at his heat against french Maxime Huscenot. 12 second before the end of the heat he need a 7+ score. A set came with a 9+ note !!! That's a sign...

Have a look at the (fuckin') WSL site

And...... GO JOHN JOHN

Fred it's Australia's time in the sun; surfing, rugby, skating (see the latest Seanbags session pics). If we could just beat the Poms at cricket it would all be good!

Medina champ.
I dont know why but I dont like his surf. He is one of the best of course but no emotion at all. Every drop, roller, air, snap are perfect. I dont like pefection. Just boring.

I'm just glad Medina was not in full form this year. He is still pretty much a punk ass from what I see, to bad he surfs so damn good.

Mick is in good shape to take the crown this year as long as he avoids any giant upsets.

John John is still a mystery with his comp surfing techniques and decisions in heats. I would like to see him get more hungry for the crown and really put in the effort before to much time flies by. Snag a world title for the trophy room and then get back to the crazy surfing career he is embarked on. Pretty much my favorite surfer on tour.

Same thing with Kelly, he just doesn't seem that hungry for the crown, but hey, he's got 11 of them. Maybe time for him to do the honorable thing like CJ and move aside for some of the younger guys who really want it. Even this off year for Slater would still be a stellar year for most of the CT surfers under him. What an awesome talent. If he would show more interest when the comp sites don't have the best conditions, but you can just see his head isn't in the (CT) game when the conditions suck. Guess I would stay on tour as long as I'm in the top 10 and scoring prime surf spots with only a couple guys out.

I was also pulling pretty big for Julian, Jordy and Owen this year. Hope they can really push it again next year!!!!
