Come on Blake- at least he didn't say "Minty NOS!!".  [wink]

And at least he doesn't post up pix of rather common ACS trucks here in the rare trucks and wheels thread - apparently rare only because they're in Paly's garage!!  [frown] Sorry David, just messing with you.  Those are sweet!  [thumb]

My quest is done... PM if want why took me two days
and would take a normal human 40 minutes max..... [mad]

Tracker First Series as seen on Page 40 of the Tracker Bible/Good Book....
Tracker Ful Truks first issued 1975, 4.5 hanger, space shuttle design in those days.
See it comparing to Chicago of same time, 1975....

Not necessarily rare trucks...  but certainly rare condition.

ACS-651 BG

True NOS.  never fitted...  bushes never tightened.

These are not restored.

Rare because the gold finish hasn't chipped off them yet!  Beautiful when they're fresh & minty.

LOL..  yes.   I have another set I've had since 78, and still skate to this day.  I eventually just removed the gold.  A really bad idea from ACS.

not really a bad idea as it made them so distinctive folk knew exactly what trucks you were riding so great for promoting the brand, same with the split axles and lazers, manufacturers needed something to get them noticed  and stand out from the crowd, just a shame they werent a bit tougher finish, its great to see an untouched set, brings back many happy memories

Fair points, well made 😉

By bad idea, I merely meant the implementation of it...  as you say...  it's toughness.

Kram has a beautiful method for refinishing those Black Gold trucks.  You might be able to find that in the Restoration Corner.

Yes..  I've seen it.  The finish ain't perfectly original, but it's very good indeed!  I don't care about the ones I ride though...   I kind of like a few battle scars...   it shows that they've been loved for so long 😉
