I saw a website "BOARDER LABS" out of British Columbia and they're sold out of the Shogo reissues 😧

Considering DTS hasn’t released them yet, I guess that makes sense. Ive never dealt with them, but it certainly sounds odd that they’re sold out of something the manufacturer hasn’t released yet. But I’m sure they’re good folks to deal with.  [rolleyes]

That said, I suppose there's a possibility that they expected to get ## of them whenever they are available and put them up for pre-order.  And then once those were spoken for, they marked as sold out.  Bottom line is, the decks aren't available yet from the people making them.  When actual GA dates are known, reliable folks at SoCal and sk8supply will post up for order/pre-order.

A lot of good detail available here: http://socalskateshop.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=83719

They even clearly say pre-order and expected deliver of both the white and second run black Triplanes.

Triplane rider with new school drill - great idea since pulling out Stage One Indy’s to ride on a reissue is flat out lame. Honestly think all reissues should have new school drilling since why would someone match a reissue deck with classic NOS triucks? It’s a reissue and all reissues best for riding or hanging as reissue with all reissue components - bottom line - I called the pope and he told me it’s a sin to mix reissue and nos [smile]. I guess we are all going to hell lol

Ps- Mike - were you sleeping when everyone bought the first triplane reissue? Those bad boys lasted a day and sold out - snagged me one because a best bro sent me the link

I'm good.  Fortunate to grab one from the first batch and it arrived Thursday.  They're sweet!!  [thumb]  That's some funny stuff re: reissue and OG. If Paly were still here on BDS, he'd post up some completes to show he had paved his path to hell - along with the rest of us.  [biggrin]

The first edition Triplane is the best reissue I’ve owned ; plus like the idea of an affordable collector, a rider and a signed limited- Wes (our hero) is the father of this concept

There are definitely new trucks out there with old school drilled base plates, but I might be lame and put stage 1 Indy’s on mine!

cool - the reissue is an ok place holder (temporary) place to store NOS Indy, while your looking to buy a NOS deck partner for those trucks. I’ve used cheap reissues as place holders for valuable trucks with soul and 70s spirit - temporary is the key word. A reissue is a reissue and does not deserve classic components - if mixing reissue with nos is a persons cup a tea - enjoy the tea. For me (opinion and not fact) - nos with nos and reissue with reissue - keeping stuff era correct is an important quality or goal all collectors should strive for - keeping it authentic

Thanks! Another rule I learned from brother Tony Hallam is try to set up era correct decks with the components the riders actually ride them complete [wink]. Ultimately- it’s about what brings individual joy and satisfaction[smile]. Love some of the latest equipment
