So, let’s talk about setups for this deck. Options. Old school drilling, kind of leaves us with some Indy’s and tracker trucks. These after all were around when this deck was make. I have also been considering ace trucks just because they look like the early Indy trucks although I’d have to drill the base plates for old school. But as a brand they were not around then. Also because of the width of this deck, 11” 169 or six tracks are most likely the trucks needed. While waiting for the deck I was thinking that the reissue extracks I have sitting around would work, they really are too narrow at least in the rear. As far as wheels I have some of the blue DT k9s that came out a few years ago. As a reissue wheel they will work. Maybe this would be a good time for Jim Muir to make some DT rocknrollers as a reissue just for this project!!! Gotta be some hard park formula! Or at least do another run of these K9s in a harder than a cruiser wheel formula!

Unfortunately, Blake, those DT K9 reissues are center set or nearly center set, so they really don't give you much more width than the trucks.  Indy 215s with those K9s would probably be perfect for width, but you lose that OG look/feel with the 215s.

I have my 11" Sims Andrecht repro set up with reissue Sixtracks and OG flatback Sims Snakes.  Works ok for width on that deck I think.

I think 169 widths will work. Shit! 215s would be ridiculousl on the front! 169s might be just a little narrow on the rear but only by a little!

To each their own.  It's all good.

On my 11" decks, I go with either 169s with offset wheels or 215s with center set wheels.  Works for me.  And, always wedge the front truck.

Some BDS or DTS reissue or "second series" wheels would be great . Different duros would be sweet too πŸ€—πŸ‘πŸ˜Ž

Although not old a set of Dub Cons or Shogo's would be perfect with 169's

Dam - great idea on the K9s. I have the orange and blue sets and never knew what to do with them ? Yup - this is the perfect decks - also agree shogo wheels will do the trick [smile]. I typically use ace trucks when setting up reissue decks - they just look cooler than new Indy’s

Looks Sweet!   Funny that art was done 71 - 73 before I started skating full on & was going on a belly board but I never got around to using it?   Then Jim & I started DTS as a company with Mutt n Jeff they wanted New Art for the warped/concave board I made & was riding then so I brought in the drawing on that page along with others & they loved that one...
