just looks like an extra thick stomp pad...?
I went to Sacred Craft in March when it was in Santa Cruz;
total "board porn" overload!

That's an ordinary tail pad with the usual kick. That shaved off thin tail with the rails looks interesting. Good to see people innovate. There's this German shaper Bufo from Hydroflex surfboards who's working in the US with legendary SD shaper Carl Ekstrom, Hydrodynamica, etc and who's doing interesting shapes and constructions, that look and ride great.

I totaly want one of those Mini-Simmons by Hydrodynamica, looks like a fun shape. Even the Mad Dog loves one as can see in the vid and has become a test pilot...

Dog, Jeff Ho's Zephyr gun scored the biggest payoff in the auction which went to a humanitarian cause.  $7,600 or sumthing!

Knockknock, coincidence you bring up Carl Ekstrom, because he was who was honored in the shapeoff at this last Sacred Craft. Carl is a genius and shaping master. 5 shapers shaped an assymetrical board based off Carl's assym influence (Carl got a patent in 1967 for assymetrically shaped surfboards). My bro and SB/VEntura local shaper Wayne Rich won the shape off!! He's won two times now, last year the shape off honered Renny Yater and Wayne won with his perfect version of a classic Yater spoon.

I've had this '67 8'6" Ekstrom for 20 years, one of my all time fave classics.

Post up pics when finished, Wes...

Cenen, that's indeed a classic. Gotta love singlefins! Have you surfed one of Ekstrom's asymmetrical boards? Interesting concept...
