Poway is a possibility.  I just don't know my schedule.  My wife will be in conference on Thursday and Friday and I will have my daughter on those days.  But, one of those evenings might work.  I could bring my daughter to the park, but she would probably get bored pretty quick and want to leave.

On another subject, we are staying downtown Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights.  But, we will get a different hotel for Saturday and Sunday.  Some choices for areas we see on Hotwire with reasonable rates are La Jolla, Sea World/Mission Bay, Mission Valley, and Downtown/Harbor Island.  Are they all decent neighborhoods, or are there any we should avoid?  Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks for the tips John.  I'll check that stuff out.

All right Tim!  Glad you're in.  I don't get to skate much either, so hopefully I don't embarass myself too much.  There, had to get that disclaimer out there.

I ran into a friend today from Socal and he said he really likes La Jolla.  It looks fairly far north on the map.  Just wondering if it will be an easy drive on Sunday morning down to Coronado from there?

I could get used to San Diego living. Nice people, good eats, cool stuff to see and do and, of course, surf and skate history. Went to the maritime museum after we landed then got some fish tacos at Anthony's. (Fish tacos on the brain, I guess). Might be a tourist trap but, certainly more than adequate in a pinch.

BTW, any particular time at Coronado on Sunday? I assume earlier is better?

According to the website, the park opens at 10:00. Do they actually open it earlier?

Tim, sorry you couldn't make it. I really loved Coronado. MOHA was a great host. He's Mr. Smooth on the GH longboard. I'll post up some pics when I get home.

I took your advice on the fish tacos. They were all good. Thanks.
