Nice set ups, Paly. I know you, you know but, again.  Re-issue 80's Screaming Hand stickers on 70's boards, not cool.

The Rock'em Sock'em Robots in the back-round on the shelf, way cool!!

A little help here please.  I know that Santa Cruz re-issued this deck, but I thought that ALL were in gray.
I bought this one a while back on the cheap as a re-issue, even for a re-issue.  They said that not many were done in red and it was rare.  But as I look at it more, it matches the OG in The Bible.  The only date on it is 1990 which was the OG release year.
Can anybody shed some light on this for me?

It looks like new-school truck holes. Try SNB.

This was probably a test print from around the time of the SC 30fing years reissue series. It appears to be on the Grosso Demon reissue shape. I've seen a few of these SC 30fing years reissues as similar one offs or graphics printed on a different shape with out a top logo. - Dcw

It is interesting that it has no 30 F'ing Years on the top.
So it seems that it is still rare as far as re-issues go......
Any idea how many of these were put out?  I have never seen one minus the 30 Years or in red.
Sort of goes along with your theory though................

No doubt what you have there is probably rare even for a reissue as there were not mass produced. As to how many exist probably no way to know for sure. I've seen a number of them on similar shapes without the top logo. Roskopp, the Jessee, the designarium natas kitten and panther have turned up on similar shapes. A while back some shit went down at their factor, some employees printed up a batch of 30fing year reissue graphics on green salba bevel shaped reissue decks. Who knows, I'm guessing yours is probably a factory one off of some sort, thats a pretty desirable Jessee graphic and being a unique version of the reissue, it's pretty cool imo.

DCwinter is correct.....during the time of the SC reissues a batch of SC's and Designariums were produced by the wood shop that was doing the decks.  They were not sanctioned by either company and were rogue decks if you will.  Many were on different shapes and most were done in Creature Green, or a sparkle variation of the normal stain.  I have two Natas decks that were produced during that time.

Okay guys, appreciate the info.  I just dig the graphic and wanted a deck with it.
I was curious about this deck when I got it, but did like the red over the gray that was used for this color re-issue.
At least now I have an idea of it's story.  "Rouge Deck".  I like it!

Nice stuff dcw!

Just got some fabulous Vintage Collector info on how to distinquish
between different years of the colored logo Santa Cruz decks...
Earlier models 1975-76, have one single line on each side of the Santa Cruz logo.
Later models 1977-79, have 2 lines on each side of the logo and USA in logo area!
I know! This is incredible info to start off the new year....
Well I found it huge in dating my attached collection.
As always; yes I know the stickers are not era specific.
I just like em. I promise they will remove easily!!
I know;  if you see these GD decks again U are gonna scream!!!!!!!!!!
