Just looking for some info how the red Sims graphics were applied to the decks in the 70's,were they screen printed on the deck back then or done with a template and paint sprayed?

Hi there sorry to change the thread, just starting restoring a Sims Superlight which is pretty cut up was wondering, does any body have any ideas on what kind of timber was used to make the laminates?? was thinking Maple, birch etc?
Any info wood be kindly appreciated

Another from Ghandi, such a simple classic, personifies everything about the early skating era. Snakes & trackers, the whole thing seems barely used.

If you are looking to make matching wood putty I lightly sanded my deck with 120 collected the dust added wood glue and you got putty about as close as possible. Previous owner played with wheel base and added two extra holes up front so I filled them long with a few others. After I sanded lightly accept over logo I used citrus furniture cleaner for shine.
