This park is on the verge of being torn down. They have started building another skatepark, in phases. The first street skate style part is done, and when the second bowl/transition phase is done on the new one, this one might be removed, if I read things correctly.

There are some nice lines here. It's well balanced in street, small walls, big bowl, real pool coping on the big bowl, metal pipe coping otherwise. Ledges, rails, and pyramids, etc. There are a couple of rough areas where the concrete was deteriorating, but otherwise, pretty smooth still. Was super fun.

Met a skater there named Chantze. He was rippin'. He had some out of town friends coming and mentioned that I should come back when they are there. That was on my second day there. We did come back. They were all feeding off each other and pulling off some amazing tricks. Took me back to the 70's all over again when we used to do that in groups at our local park. No fear, just more, more, more.

My nephews, 10 year old twins, experienced their first skate sessions, and a couple of bumps and bruises along the way. They kept getting back up and trying again, so, I believe they are hooked!

Please excuse the "no pads/helmet" sessions.
Two video links below the pics as well.

Here's a pic I snagged from a website from the deep end of the bowl looking back towards the other direction. I would love to find the speed to hit that oververt section! Just not strong enough yet.

Chantze seemed to know some about the old school, in knowing of Dogtown and how it all branched out, and where things came from. Pretty cool turning him on to the site, if he shows. I mentioned it to him.
