Got a total steal on this Verner Mini Simmons. Flat belly with double concave tail makes it what I've been told the fastest board ever, have heard nothing but great stuff about these, snagged it Sunday afternoon in Ventura.
Brand new, never even waxed up.

I also picked up this very cool retro Kane Garden Fish recently, also a steal.

Got a new fin for my Yater. Legendary designer Greenough fin.

Went from single to tri...

Nice selection there, my friend Luke rides one of those tombstone looking things, I've been contemplating about getting something different than a shortboard, but haven't yet.

Nice new set rat.  That fin looks a bit odd though.  What's it meant to do?  Sorry, but I am not up on the fin designs for those cripples that need to kneel.

Sweet! My first board was like that fish, and about the same colors. Fun board.

Soapbars are rad.  That fin is best for noseriding. The fat tip is meant to keep the tail anchored in the wave face. The narrow base is meant to counter act the fat tip...Letting you slide down the face eaiser, It does that but is kills drive off the bottom too. Try that as a single fin again at one of those sweet pointbreaks in your playground for best results.

I'll do that SeaWolf. I was told to use as a tri for a little less ass slide and keeping my speed on the bottom, I'll try both.

Mini Simmons are really fun in small to medium sized surf. I've got one in my quiver as well, mine is 5'6". I just love to experiment around with different shapes, fin setups, etc. About a week ago I had the change to try a 5 fin bonzer on Bali. Belonged to a grumpy 54 years old Aussie dude I met in the lineup at Keramas. Did let me try his Campbell Brothers bonzer and, man, I loved it. That thing was a sweet ride...
