Sticker storage warning!
Be careful about storing stickers in cardboard. I should have put the repro white Jay Adams stickers I got from Kluskie in plastic, as the acid in cardboard yellowed the backing...

Good news is the sticker itself did not get yellowed... I stuck it on one of my racks:

Hey Tim....did you ever find one of those stickers ? I need one also.....and was thinking about maybe looking into getting a few made up if they would not cost the price of the board.

I got one of the small ones and had it enlarged in Bangkok. The only problem is that the sticker is white and not clear.. If you are interested in one let me know.
The board I have this one on is some similar shaped that I painted white to see how it looked.

Tim

Dogtown Skates made some cool stickers recently including a few reissues:

I read once that the DTS sticker was made in large quantities later
in 1990s-2000s was a more of a RE-ISSUE vs vintage.

Anyone know how to tell difference?
Are my facts incorrect and skateboard rumors :----)?
One up on BDS now, single sticker for $40,
Seller has no idea how to tell difference.
DetroitSkate. Lordy, what a group. That said LOL....

Just curious, I have about 10 floating around and often wondered if
I am using OG or later issued or a Re-issue. Purchased mostly after 2006..
Thanks for any insight, information...

Shit 5-10yrs ago, woulda got
3 expert answers within 5 hours.
2 others to tell me to fuck myself.
2 others to start arguing about something
on the thread that had nothing to do with the question.
[rofl][rofl][rofl][rofl][rofl][rofl] AND TRUE.....

COME ON BDS, who is our resident vintage sticker expert? I will contact em directly.
The loss of past posted pictures, makes research a lot more difficult IMHO now a days....

David, Dogtown included one 2" wide DTS sticker in packages of Dogtown rails they sold in the late 1980's -- not sure if they still sold them in the 1990's.

They were either leftover old stock from the early 1980's or exact same as the 1979 to early 1980's stickers.

My OG DT Bulldog has 3 OG stickers.  I also have one sticker loose in my collection.  I assumed the loose sticker I have is a reissue, but not sure why I have assumed that.  So, I just can't tell you for sure if the loose sticker I have is an OG or reissue.  The backing paper looks a little yellowed, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's an OG.

Anyway, here is a comparison photo.

As you can see, the stickers look pretty much identical...except for one thing.  The black boarder is quite a bit thicker on the loose sticker than on all the OG stickers on my board.  I noticed in the photo on the eBay listing that the boarders were also thick like that on the stickers listed there.  So, MAYBE that is a way to distinguish OG from reissue???
