Here's a couple goodreads The Big Drop,Ghost Wave,Big Wave,The Big Juice and The Wave.These books have put together nonfiction short story's of big wave surfing.

This one is a true bible about surfboards, from the wooden era to big wave gun, transitional shapes, paipo, longboard ... to surf art, surf auctions.

Just read "Thai Stick; Surfers, scammers, and the untold story of the marijuana trade" by peter Maguire and Mike Ritter. Pretty good book. scott

Really appreciate this one, guys. Always take a book or two for the plane on surf trips, would rather read surf stuff for the stoke factor!

Here's one on the history of surfing and surfboards called 365 Surfboards from 2013.With 304 pages and 365 boards featured it's not so overwhelming like The Ultimate Guide at 649 pages.

Looks cool available for per-order comes out 7-15-2014 a trip down memory lane.The book also backgrounds the infamous "Dogtown" of the '70s in which surfers took advantage of big waves that rolled through P.O.P.'s rotting piers near homeless junkies.
