Yeah the ribs are a fun place to get it.  Mine was around 8 hours on the ribs, sent odd nerve signals through out my body.  He would start working and all of a sudden my calfs would start to twitch.

I know it's not a BDS tat , but here is my newest:

Done very well by Siri at Black and Blue Tattoo in the Mission District, San Francisco.

My wife and I got these on our belated honeymoon this past September. Mine is on my inside right forearm, hers on the upper right back. It was inspired by the tattoos Clarence and his "peach" Alabama got after getting married in the movie True Romance.

This was a bad idea as I've got the fever all over again and will have to get inked some more...

sorry to muck up this thread with the pics im about to post. I know we have a tattoo artist or two on the board, im looking for as many opinions as possible. With the fine lines, can they be touched up and reworked? or should I get some lasering to make it easier to cover or would it be ok to cover as is?

I had my apprentice friend do it for me. She had the stencil lookin good but as yall can see its pretty jacked up. I have now decided to only go to established artists. thanks for any input

Well, my sisters think so............... just kidding. I know what you mean and no. I told Juan that I liked how he did eyes and let him work me up a desige. this is what he came up with. Notice how the top of the pyramid looks like a set of waves. The red/orange is an influance from Alex Grey.

Here's my BDS tribute:
