I understand that you wouldn't hear anything along these lines. Zimmerman was tried and executedd in the lame stream liberal media. The only news broadcasts that would show pictures of him with his bloody face were local stations. The only stations that presented any of the facts that settled the case in his favor were local stations. This is a prime example of how we are being fed tremendous loads of BS by everyone with an agenda. In this case it was the racists and the gun grabbers. I saw yesterday that Stevie Wonder has decided that he will never perform in Florida again as long as we have a stand your ground law. Funny thing is that stand your ground went out the window once Martin knocked Zimmerman to the ground and was pounding his head on the concrete; as pointed out in the video, this became self defense.

The guy in the video went off on some wild tangents in the end trying to explain why Martin was acting the way he was and really lost my attention for the last 10 minutes. Up to that point, he was right on target with the facts as they were locally known.

Haven't watched the video yet (will do in a bit here) but read this the other day, and imo it's  pretty complete:

http://theconservativetreehouse.com/2012/04/21/update-10-part-2-the-trayvon-martin-shooting-deedee-reveals-the-false-truths/#more-37932

The author reveals the legal team's tactics, and leaves me w/no question that the legal firm was the driving force in the whole pr campaign.
Also provides insight to the strategy of losing the court case, setting the stage  for a civil case (where money $ettle$ the $core).
These people mean to cash in.  Creating racial tension along the way is just collateral damage--gotta be done in order to whip up the frenzy.
We live in a fucked up world.

How would Stevie Wonder even KNOW if he was in Florida?

I was trying to keep it on a serious note, but my first thought was that he could care less about the stand your ground laws since he cant see you approaching him. But you know that he has some well paid body guards that will take care of his ground for him.

I agree with you about the video. At the end it started getting tedious. You know what? If these assholes want to boycott something, how about boycotting crime. Then, there wouldn't be a need for neighborhood watches.

hope I'm not overstepping here, but if you're stating facts regarding minority youth in America (in reference to Stefan Molyneux), you have to have some sort of tangible grasp of how a big part of this country's culture went from this:

to this:

The guy sounds like he's from across the pond, and might of missed out on some of it.
Also, I couln't get past the 6th min. without taking this into account:

the group also won an oscar for "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp" track from the Hustle and Flow movie at the 78th Academy Awards.
the track featured by them in this post was a big MTV hit around the turn of the millenium.

I can't tell if you are trying to make a point or just want to post shitty music videos.

ok, not so obvious, I was trying to demonstrate the generational and cultural disconnect folks like Molyneux have toward contemporary black america through music, an important aspect of the black diaspora in this country.

Ohhhhh.... I didn't know that these bands spoke for "black america". Excuse me while I turn off my Miles Davis.... Please... Profile "contemporary black america" some more so we all know what you are talking about...

Hip hop culture speaks for "black america" as much as Madonna speaks for "white america". Pop culture is a fickle bitch. So is confusing youth culture with skin color... Kids are gonna be kids and rebel. That shit is color blind.... LOL.... Goddamm kids will use whatever they want to get under yer skin... 20 years ago it was white males with long hair and makeup in LA.... did they speak for "white america"? Fuck no... They were just goddamm kids! LOL

How did we ever get from this

To this!

...well you answered it yourself, Norman Connors is not a band, he was known as a jazz drummer, composer and producer, like say, Brian Eno if that helps.  Mobb Deep, and also Three 6 Mafia, are a hip hop duo and group, respectively.  Wouldn't reffer to them as a band, unless they used live instruments.  That's it right there, but that's as far as I can go, maybe a little more, but since I am not of african descent, and art being a representation of a culture, I used these examples (as an observant) to add more context to Molyneux's collection of facts, including his analysis of black youth through social media, and lack of considering the importance of using deconstructive philosophy while doing so.

http://www.atlassociety.org/anti-enlightenment-postmodernism-jacques-derrida-terry-moran-abc-news

sorry to bother anyone with this, but if I continue any further, I'm just going to dive head first into some uncharted social paradox that I might never find a way out.
as far as the videos go, Connor's melody was sampled in the Mobb Deep track, much like Snoop Dog and so many others did from that generation, as a direct nod to the previous one.  Hip hop pulls this off better than any other forms of music, (as well as other black forms of music like house and techno).  The Three 6 Mafia video was more of a novelty reference to the substance Molyneux believed could've been Trayvon's motive to leave the house.  A hit ten years ago, now part of the vernacular.

My opinion... It was a tragedy... A stormy night where two idiots met in the night with preconcieved notions of who each of them were, without just stopping and talking... two idiots in over their heads... with a tragic ending.
